What Northern Virginia Patients are Saying
"
★★★★★
Dr Zachary Weidner is an amazing orthopedic surgeon. He replaced my right hip with perfection and professionalism. I asked him his advice on which surgery to pursue, and he gave me an honest straightforward recommendation with no hesitation. This resulted in the smoothest surgery I have ever experienced and I have had a lot of surgical work done. If you have the choice to go with Dr. Weidner as your surgeon do not hesitate and know that you are in the best hands possible. I was most amazed by the fact that it was virtually a pain-free surgery and recovery! Thank you, Dr. Weidner and God bless you!

COMMON QUESTIONS
FAQs from Canadian Patients
Q: Will my provincial health insurance cover surgery in the United States?
A: Generally, provincial health plans do not cover elective surgery performed outside Canada. Patients typically pay directly using our transparent, all-inclusive self-pay pricing. We recommend checking with your provincial plan directly, as coverage policies vary and rarely apply to elective joint replacement performed abroad.
Q: Do I need a visa to travel for surgery?
A: Canadian citizens generally do not need a visa for short medical visits to the United States, but requirements can vary based on individual circumstances. We recommend confirming current entry requirements with U.S. Customs and Border Protection or a licensed immigration advisor before booking travel.
Q: How long do I need to stay in the U.S.?
A: Most patients plan for a total stay of approximately 2 weeks — a day or two before surgery for pre-operative evaluation, and 1 to 2 weeks afterward for Dr. Weidner to monitor early recovery and confirm you are safe to travel home.
Q: What currency & payment methods do you accept?
A: Pricing is quoted in U.S. dollars, and we accept major credit cards, bank wire transfer, and other standard payment methods. Our team can help answer specific billing questions when you request your pricing quote.
