WHY COME STRAIGHT TO US
Go Where You'd Be Referred Anyway
For most bone and joint injuries, an ER or urgent care visit ends the same way: a temporary splint and a referral to an orthopedic specialist. Coming directly to us skips that extra step — and the extra wait, bill, and time off work that comes with it.

HOW IT WORKS
Your Same-Day Visit
01
Call Us
Call 703-393-1667 & tell our team you or a loved one were injured. We'll get you in the same day with Dr. Weidner or one of his orthopedic colleagues at the office most convenient for you.
02
X-ray & Diagnosis
We take X-rays in the office and an orthopedic surgeon reviews them with you — so you know exactly what's injured and what it needs.
03
Treatment Started
Most fractures and sprains heal without surgery. We apply the right cast, splint, boot, or brace that day. If surgery is needed, we schedule it directly — usually as an outpatient.

YOUR SAFETY FIRST
When to Go to the ER Instead
Our office is the right first stop for most bone and joint injuries — but some situations need emergency care. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room if you have:
Go to the ER for:
-
A bone poking through the skin, or an open wound over the injury
-
Numbness, coldness, or color change in the hand or foot beyond the injury
-
Head, neck, or back injury, or loss of consciousness
-
Major trauma such as a car accident or a high fall
-
Chest pain, difficulty breathing, or uncontrolled bleeding
COMMON QUESTIONS
Orthopedic Urgent Care FAQs
Q: Can I get a same-day appointment for an injury?
A: Yes. We offer same-day appointments Monday through Friday at our Manassas, Fair Oaks, & Gainesville offices with Dr. Weidner or one of his orthopedic colleagues. Call 703-393-1667.
Q: Should I go to urgent care or the ER first for a broken bone?
A: For most bone and joint injuries, you can come directly to our office. ER and urgent care visits for these injuries usually end with a temporary splint and a referral to an orthopedic specialist. Coming to us first gets you X-rays, a specialist's diagnosis, and treatment in one visit. Go to the ER if a bone is through the skin, the hand or foot is numb or cold, you have a head, neck, or back injury, or the injury happens after hours.
Q: Do you take X-rays in the office?
A: Yes. All three offices can take X-rays on site, and an orthopedic specialist reviews them with you during the same visit.
Q: Can you put on a cast, splint, or brace the same day?
A: Yes. Casts, splints, walking boots, slings, and braces are applied in the office during your visit. Most fractures and sprains heal without surgery.
Q: Do you treat children's fractures?
A: Yes. We treat adult and pediatric fractures. Children's bones are still growing and heal well, so most children's fractures are treated with a cast or splint rather than surgery.
Q: What if I need surgery?
A: If your injury needs surgery, we schedule it directly — no additional referral needed. Most fracture surgery is performed as an outpatient, so you go home the same day.
